Now in its 16th year, the Marcum Tech Top 40 is the premier awards program recognizing Connecticut’s fastest growing technology companies. The awards recognize technology leaders in six industry sectors that reflect the state’s technology landscape:
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Energy, Environment, or Green Technology
- IT Services
- Life Sciences
- New Media, Internet, or Telecommunications
- Software
Tech Top 40 companies are both privately and publicly held, must have $3 million in annual revenue, and demonstrate a record of revenue growth in the past four years. Companies can also apply for the Accelerator award designed for companies that successfully scaled to $3 million in revenue in fewer than three years.
2023 Winners

Overall Winner
InBox Health of New Haven was named the overall winner and took first place in the Software category, with a four-year growth of 388.3 percent. Inbox Health integrates with popular practice management systems, allowing you to seamlessly manage patient A/R in one place.

Tech Top 40 Criteria
The contest is to honor those companies that have the largest revenue growth over the past 4 years. The baseline is 2019 revenue, which must be at least $50,000 compared to 2022 revenue, which must be at least $3,000,000. Companies will be required to support revenue numbers by providing proof such as tax returns or compiled, reviewed or audited financial statements.
