Jon J. Shoop serves as the Office Managing Partner for the Cleveland, Ohio office and leads the Firm’s Midwest Consumer & Industrial Products Team.

Jon has over 20+ years of experience serving manufacturing, distribution, and service business clients throughout Ohio. He delivers value to clients by providing external audit and attest services, tax planning, and advisory services such as strategic planning, outsourced CFO services, and mergers and acquisition consulting.

Prior to joining the Firm, Jon honed his skills as a manager in external financial reporting for a Cleveland-based manufacturing company, following a managerial role in the Audit practice of a global accounting firm. There, he was instrumental in managing fieldwork teams for PCAOB and private company audits, focusing particularly on the manufacturing and distribution industry.

Jon is an active participant in industry leadership through his involvement with civic programs and a commitment to continuous process improvement, as evidenced by his Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification. His contributions to the manufacturing community are further exemplified by his role as Treasurer for Manufacturing Works, a Cleveland-based organization dedicated to supporting regional manufacturers.

In addition, Jon has been at the forefront of the creation and ongoing development of Marcum’s National Manufacturing Survey, an annual publication that gathers insights from a wide array of industry professionals across the country.

Michael Fox is a senior business executive with more than 20 years of experience in business management in a variety of industries. Those industries and experiences include manufacturing, software development, database management, systems implementation, project management, marketing, procurement, contract negotiation, customer relationship management, supplier management, economic development, advisory and investment boards, corporate business strategy, and executive leadership.

In 2015, Michael launched a boutique investment firm, Zorro Capital LLC, that focuses on matching small to midsize manufacturing and distribution company owners with up-and-coming entrepreneurs.

His efforts focus on providing streamlined and improved methods for business owners in the Midwest to transition their businesses to a new generation of business managers. These efforts have led to various mutually beneficial business ownership transitions in the region.

Michael is a Cleveland native and enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their three children. He is an avid beekeeper, gardener, advocate of Northeast Ohio regional development, and an active real estate investor. He splits his time between Cleveland, Ohio, and Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Michael McKeown

Chief Investment Officer, Marcum Wealth

Michael McKeown is the chief investment officer at Marcum Wealth. He is responsible for leading the firm’s investment research on capital markets. Mr. McKeown created the firm’s quantitative and qualitative due diligence process for analyzing investment managers across equities, fixed income, and alternative strategies. In addition, he developed the Marcum Wealth Asset Allocation Frameworks based on the firm’s proprietary Ultra Modern Portfolio Theory which guides the management of client portfolios. He authors market commentaries and quarterly investment strategy newsletters. Previously, Mr. McKeown was a member of a wealth advisor team at a national investment management firm.

David Mustin

David Mustin is a vice president of strategic IT consulting at Marcum Technology, responsible for implementing technology projects such as strategic IT roadmaps, IT assessments, system selections, restructuring, and post deal value capture.
